The UK is prepared to move forward with utilizing the full worth of seized Russian funds to aid Ukraine's military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a shared declaration, the heads of state of the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and Germany stated that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge Moscow to come to the table.

They clarified that the decision would be carried out in close cooperation with the United States.

UK penalties have frozen over £25bn of Russia's resources since Russia initiated its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, until now, money allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russia's holdings had exclusively been drawn from profits and interest accrued on them.
